What's the difference between Thompson Operations and a virtual assistant company?

With a VA company you buy hours. Use them or lose them. And when you need marketing support and bookkeeping support and admin support, you end up with three different people who aren't talking to each other. You become the person managing all of them, checking their work, and telling each one what to do. That's not support. That's a second job.

Thompson Operations is your operations team, not a task list. We work at a flat predictable rate, not by the hour, which means we are focused on getting things done right, not on running up time. We proactively look for inefficiencies, make suggestions, and fill gaps before you have to ask.

You have one point of contact who manages everything. Your success is our success. If we can grow your business, we grow ours.

What kinds of businesses are the right fit and what kinds aren't?

We work best with business owners who are ready to delegate. Not hand off and disappear, but trust a team to handle things without needing to approve every step. Our clients communicate with us through our app, which is as simple as sending a text. We keep meetings to a minimum because your time is too valuable to spend in them.
If you want hourly check-ins, daily oversight, or someone to simply execute a task list without any input or initiative, we are probably not the right fit. We are looking for owners who want a right hand, not someone to simply check boxes.

Are there long term contracts?

No. Our clients can leave with 30 days notice. That's it.
There are benefits to paying quarterly or every six months and we do offer those options, but you are never locked in. Month to month is always available. We believe if we are doing our job, you won't want to leave. We'd rather earn your business every month than hold you to a contract.

How quickly can you get started?

Within 48 hours of your first invoice you are set up in your client portal and ready to go. From there we run two onboarding meetings over the first two weeks. The first introduces you to your operations manager, walks you through our platforms, and gives us a chance to understand your business. The second reviews everything we have captured, confirms we have access to what we need, and ties up any loose ends. After that we are actively working. Most clients feel the difference within the first week.

How do I know if I'm ready for this kind of support?

If you are spending time on things that are not your core work, admin, follow-up, scheduling, content, bookkeeping, and that time is coming out of evenings and weekends instead of a workday, you are ready.
If leads are slipping through the cracks, your inbox is running you, or your business is growing but the back end is not keeping up, you are ready.
You do not need to have it all figured out before you reach out. That is literally what the first call is for.
